Recitation:
Had issues with the initial design proposal. Looked at it again and attempted to fix it with the feedback that was given (made us sad 🙁).
Lab:
Did finishing touches on the design proposal. Learned what materials were needed to make the gel. Learned about the background of the gel making as well as attempted to develop a technique on how to make the gel. Information such as background for the gel can be found in tutorial page under the
Gel section.
Wiring of the arduino board is shown in figure 4.1. Wiring was done for at least a week already but done last, so it wasn't properly finished until this week.

Figure 4.1: Arduino Board Wiring |
After wiring, we setup the system of the arduino board, petri dish, and stepper motor. Three figures of different angles were shown. Figure 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4 are different angles of the board, petri dish, and the stepper motor.

Testing the speed for the rotation of the petri dish with the motor was continued. No changes need to be made as of this week.
Object tracking with the camera was further worked on. Figure 4.5 is a portion of the code that tracks objects. The rest of the code was taken from a website that can be found in background.

Figure 4.6 is an example of the code from figure 4.5 in action. The blue rectangle is a bound box with more information from the bound box website found in the
Stepper Motor/Camera section of tutorials as well as background.

A mount was needed to hold the camera above the petri dish to track the magnet as it moved. Figure 4.7 what is intended to be used, but may be subject to change.
